OVERVIEW of the DESIGN PROCESS

Step 1 : Programming

We begin with an in-home  consultation to discuss wants, needs, goals, timeline, budget and scope of work.

Step 2 : Schematic Design Phase

Proposal | A Design Agreement will be presented for your approval.  A Design Agreement is a contract outlining the services and products to be prepared for client approval.

Why pay for design time? Interior Design is a technical and creative endeavor. Paying for an Interior Designers time is to buy their creativity, technical knowledge from education and experience, network of craftsperson’s and access to industry products.

Upon signing a Design Agreement work begins with field measure, drawings, research, design concepts and preliminary selections as applicable.

Step 3 : Design Development Phase

Client is presented with drawings, preliminary selections and design concepts.  Refine based on feedback.

Step 4 : Bidding

Once concepts are refined and materials & methods are outlined, it is time to gather estimates and appropriate tradespersons to complete work as needed. Client will be provided with estimates for goods and services to approve.  Project timeline set based on availability of goods and trades at time of signed contract.

Step 5 : Contract Administration

Build | Project management and collaboration with trades to support design intent.
